  • What does Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month mean to you? It means a celebration and gathering of the many Hispanic/Latinx cultures around us. During this celebration we meet new and old friends, new and old family members, and we learn the new and the old tales about our heritage. Not only are we celebrating, we are reconnecting with our ancestors through traditions and language amongst our cultures.

Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15 each year. Since the 1960s, our country has used this time to celebrate the histories, cultures, and achievements of Hispanic/Latinx Americans.

In honor of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, we are honored to highlight recent Hispanic/Latinx alumni in the Trojan Columns throughout the month. If you or an alum you know is interested in being featured in an upcoming Trojan Columns, please email Kathryn Davis or Dr. Trevon Jones.
