Global & Diversity Updates
Global & Diversity Updates

This week, TVS students and staff are attending the largest diversity conference for schools in the U.S.: Student Diversity Leadership Conference and the People of Color Conference. From day one, TVS attendees have reported feeling energized and excited by what they are learning and the incredible people they are meeting!

We're proud of Jillian Ivy '23, Ariana George '22, Chelsea Nnanyanzi '22, Gita Paladugu '21, Caroline Sloter '21, and Taylor White '21 for being selected from among their peers to attend this conference, and grateful to Shon Hardy (athletic director), Chinua Melton (4th-grade teacher), Karen Peninger (LS/MS counselor), and Zina Wormley (college counselor) for making the time (and emotional) commitment to this life-changing experience. We can't wait to learn from them and help make TVS even more of a place of BELONGING for all students, staff, and families!

On the Global front, our Virtual Hosting Exchange is taking off! More than 50 students in the LS, MS, and US and about the same number from Germany, Hungary, Japan, Sweden, and Taiwan have been paired up to meet online 1-2 times a month to share our culture and learn about theirs! Can't travel anywhere? No problem! Spend time in the homes of new friends and invite them to your home via the Internet, and you don't even have to wear a mask!

We are still recruiting students and families who would like to "host" and "be hosted" online for the spring semester. CLICK HERE (bit.ly/VirtualHosting) to sign up, or contact Dr. Roemer (roemerm@trinityvalleyschool.org) if you have questions.
