Before & After School Care
Trojan Extended Day
Lower School Trojan Extended Day, also called “TED,” provides a safe, creative, and positive before and after school environment for TVS students in grades PK-4. TED time prioritizes play (indoors and outdoors), but also includes homework and snack time. Cynthia Davis, TED Program Coordinator, leads the caring extended care team.
TED occurs Monday through Friday in the TVS Dining Hall. Before school care runs from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. for PK-4. After school care runs from dismissal to 6:00 p.m. For the 2021-2022 academic year, TED will begin on August 18 for all grades. TED also provides full-day care options on select school holidays.
TED offers full-care and drop-in registration options. Full care means that you expect your child to attend every day. Drop-in means that you anticipate using this service occasionally each week or occasionally throughout the school year. Please note that you may change your registration status at any time (example: full-care to drop-in).
Trojan Supervised Study (TSS)
Middle School Trojan Supervised Study, also called “TSS,” provides students in grades 5-8 with a safe, quiet, and structured environment to complete homework, study for assessments, and further develop organizational skills. Middle School teachers from varying subject areas provide both academic and organizational support with a small student to teacher ratio.TSS occurs Monday through Friday in a Middle School classroom. Students report to the TSS location after school and remain there until they are picked up, no later than 5:45 pm.
