Dear Trinity Valley School Families,
We are excited to start welcoming back students starting Wednesday, August 19. Throughout the summer we have been releasing updates to our Reopening Plan, and a great deal of pertinent information has been shared. We thought it might be helpful to give you a condensed form of arrival and dismissal information to start the school year.
By now, you all should have received an invitation to the MyMedBot app, downloaded and set up the app on your device. If you have not, please contact bartellk@trinityvalleyschool.org for your code. If you have a student that will self-check and needs the app, he/she will need to download the app to his/her device and use one of the email addresses where the invite was sent. If the parent has already created a password using the invite code, the student will need to use the same email address and password to log in on his/her device (the invite code will not work, as it is a one-time-use code). No invite codes were sent to student emails. The app will send out a reminder Monday-Friday starting at 6:15am and will continue to remind you every 30 minutes until you fill out the screening form, even if you have chosen TLC. We ask that you check your child's temperature each morning (oral, tympanic or touchless thermometers are all acceptable), answer the screening questions and then proceed to Trinity Valley School at your division's arrival time if you receive a green check box from MyMedBot. PLEASE NOTE: If you answer "yes" to any of the "yes or no" questions or click ANY of the symptoms in the symptom checker, your child will be asked to remain at home and contact one of the school nurses. If you accidentally tap a symptom, simply tap it again to uncheck. Clicking "none" will not clear a symptom if it is checked. If your child has a known, ongoing medical issue (headache, allergies, etc), please answer "yes" to that symptom only if it presents differently than it normally does for your child.
For yourself and the safety of your children, please fill out this form BEFORE you leave the house. Please thoughtfully answer the questions in the MyMedBot app.
If you are carpooling with another family, please have each family fill out the app for their own children, take a screenshot of the final app screen and text to the parent/student driving the students to school. Upon arrival to campus, drivers should show the photo of the other family's screenshot and then the app screen for their own family.
Lower School Arrival Procedure
Lower School will have two carpool lines. The admin circle carpool line will be for Pre-K through 2nd grade. The second carpool line will be for 3rd and 4th graders and will drop off in front of the Great Hall. Please be prepared to show your mobile device with the app visible. As you approach the drop-off location, please roll down your passenger side window and show the TVS screener the app screen from your device. Children should be masked at this time. The screener will then proceed to help your children out of the car, if needed, have them use the provided hand sanitizer and direct them where to stand until they are escorted to their classroom. For siblings, please drop off at the youngest sibling's drop-off area. If you have a Lower School student AND a 5th or 6th grader, you may drop both in the Lower School circle. Drop-off and pickup will always follow the youngest child. For our younger Trojans that may have a difficult time exiting the car, you will be directed to pull forward or head to a visitor parking spot to allow your child a little more time.
Middle School Arrival Procedure
Middle School will have one carpool line. Please proceed to the carpool line with the MedBot app pulled up on your device. We will have several screeners in line. Please roll down your passenger window, show the screener your app screen, and then your children will be allowed to exit the car. Please have your child/children masked at this time. Students will use the provided hand sanitizer then proceed to their cohort classroom to wash their hands.
Upper School Arrival Procedure
Upper School will have two carpool lines this year. The regular carpool circle will be used for all parents dropping off their Upper School students. The second carpool line is for student drivers and is located in the parking lot outside of the North Gym. Please enter campus and have your device ready with the MedBot app pulled up to display. All students will need to be masked at this time. Once the MedBot app is checked, students will exit the car and use the provided hand sanitizer prior to heading to their first class. Student drivers, after the app is checked, will head to their parking spot to park, and then walk to the main entrance of Upper School for hand sanitizer prior to going to their first class. Students should not linger in parking lots or near vehicles, and should observe appropriate social distancing.
PLEASE NOTE: All screeners will be masked and wearing a face shield.
Pickup Procedure
- If you are picking up a LS student and a MS student at the same time: Both students will be notified that you have arrived on campus. They will meet you in the LS circle.
- If you are picking up a MS student and an US student: Each child will need to be picked up in his/her respective division circles.
- If you are picking up both a 5th or 6th grader and a 7th or 8th grader at 3:30: The 5th or 6th grader should be picked up in the MS circle. The 7th or 8th grader should be picked up in the North Gym Parking lot
- If you are picking a student in all three divisions (LS, MS, US): The LS student and MS student can be picked up together in the LS circle. The US student will need to be picked up in the US circle.
We are so excited to welcome all our students back to school!
