What does Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month mean to you? My great-great-grandmother immigrated from Mexico and started selling tamales at a county fair in the 1920s. Her hard work and love for her family led to generations of restaurateurs and entrepreneurs. I am extremely grateful for the contributions she and many others have made to the Hispanic community and culture. To me, this month means celebrating and appreciating Hispanic history and people like my great-great-grandmother Adelaida.
