It is the policy of Trinity Valley School to administer its educational programs, including admissions and financial aid, without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin or disability.
Inclusivity Statement: Because Trinity Valley School believes that children learn from one another and that such learning is enhanced by diverse experiences, opinions and cultures, the school is committed to maintaining a student body and faculty that represent the diverse groups that make up the Fort Worth community. By encouraging children to appreciate each other's differences – in race, culture, religion, gender, family structure, and socioeconomic levels – the Trinity Valley School faculty prepares them to become citizens of the global community and the complex, multicultural world in which they live.
Age Requirements: Children must be 5 years old by August 31 to apply for August enrollment in kindergarten. If you are considering having your child wait a year before entering kindergarten and he or she will turn 6 before May 1, we recommend that you schedule a visit with our Admissions staff.
In general, students applying to grades 1-4 should also have a birth date of August 31 or earlier. However, possible exceptions can be discussed on an individual basis.
For grade 5 and above, an applicant’s age will be considered on an individual basis as part of the overall admissions evaluation.
Siblings of Current Students, Children of Alumni, or Children of Faculty/Staff: Special consideration is given to qualified applicants who are siblings of currently enrolled students, children of Trinity Valley School alumni, or children of full-time faculty/staff members.
- Kindergarten: These applicants receive an early admission decision; however, school policy states that no more than two-thirds of the kindergarten class may be filled by early decision candidates. This ensures that there will always be openings for families new to the school.
- Grades 1-12: Qualified applicants who fit one or more of these categories do receive extra consideration, but are not guaranteed the first available spots. Admission will be more contingent on the number of applicants and the number of spaces available at each particular grade, as well as strength of qualifications for each applicant.
Cooperative Testing: Trinity Valley School cooperates with three other independent schools - All Saints’ Episcopal School, Fort Worth Academy, and Fort Worth Country Day - in sharing joint admissions policies, calendar, testing and notification dates. Admissions candidates who are applying to more than one of these schools should schedule the admissions testing at one school and request that the test scores are sent to the other school(s). To be considered for admission at any other school, candidates must also file applications with those schools.
