SSTVS Mission
Trinity Valley School strives to provide a summer enrichment program that accomplishes the following:
- challenges our students in a stimulating and creative environment
- enriches intellectual experiences beyond the traditional academic setting
- nurtures each student’s self-esteem through learning by doing
SSTVS Directors
Harriett Moore, director, is a kindergarten teacher who has taught at TVS from 1975-77 and 1987 to present. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas and has conducted summer enrichment camps for kindergartners since 1987. Mrs. Moore co-founded SSTVS and has directed the program since 1999.
Pam Asher, TVS Assistant Head of Lower School, co-directs SSTVS and our Summer Programs. She was the Lower School Instructional Specialist from 2008-2012. Mrs. Asher holds a Masters in Education from University of Texas and worked in the Taylor and Arlington public schools for thirty-three years.
SSTVS Faculty
Teachers are degreed, experienced, professional instructors. The curriculum for each class is written and developed by the individual SSTVS teacher, based on professional experience in the classroom along with personal interests and talents. Junior counselors are Trinity Valley Upper School students who volunteer their time for service hours to our school.
SSTVS Offerings
Small classes provide each student the opportunity to experience individualized attention. Programs are tailored to fit the needs and interests of SSTVS students, and curriculum is customized for the age group of the students enrolled. In order to qualify for admission, pre-kindergarten students need to be four years old by July 31. Lower School courses are designed for our youngest students entering kindergarten through grade four. Middle School, Upper School and adult courses are tailored to specific age groups beginning in grade five. Sports Camps are for athletes as young as age six through grade 12.
SSTVS Promise
Your child will be surrounded by caring, nurturing, creative teachers and student counselors, who will provide fun, stimulating activities. Children will build lasting relationships with fellow “campers” – making this a program to which you will want to return summer after summer and recommend to your friends.
