2016-17 DEBATE NEWS

Lindale High School TFA Tournament
Junior Joey Cascino brought home Fourth Place in Congressional Debate.
Junior Ronak Gandhi earned Second Place in Congressional Debate and Second Place in Original Oratory.
Junior Kerry MacKenzie took Sixth Place in Domestic Extemporary Speech.
Senior Lara Turan brought back a Second Place trophy for Domestic Extemporary Speech.
And the Junior/Senior team of Flavia Lima and Lara Turan brought home their first ever First Place trophy in Public Forum debate and qualified to State Public Forum!

Joining us for the first time this week were Akshay Sharma and Alex Davis who represented the Freshman class in Novice Public Form. Give them a big hand for starting out in a whole new world of debate! Also new to Congressional debate was Junior Samer Majeed! Last week at the Lovejoy High School Tournament, we welcomed the sophomore team of Paul Braymen and Kate Liao to Public Forum Debate as well. We expect great things from all these newcomers in the year to come!

Plano Sr. High School

Lovejoy High School

Our Policy Debate Team (Brian Liao and Hae Seong Lee) had a better showing at this year’s Greenhill School Debate Tournament than any TVS team ever has at that tournament.
