Welcome to Xplore Summer at TVS!

Xplore Summer at TVS provides participants with safe, unique, and fun learning experiences. Each year, over 750 participants, ages 3-18, attend at least one camp and many return for several weeks! We welcome ALL students from the FW area and beyond to join us for camps and classes.

Xplore programs focus on growing active, confident, and creative young humans, and we aim to do this by offering a wide variety of camp and class topics. Participants have many opportunities to try out something new or take a deep dive into an existing interest.

PARTICIPANT AGES

Children and youth, ages 3 to 18, are invited to participate in Xplore Summer Programs. Grade levels listed with each camp or class indicate the grades students will enter in the fall of 2022. Please note that all participants for Pre-K classes must turn 4 by September 1, 2022 and be potty-trained. All participants for kindergarten classes must turn 5 by September 1, 2022.

CAMP DATES AND TIMES

Camps and classes will be held May 31-July 29, 2022.

Half-day specialty camps will run from 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00-4:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Full-day specialty camps will run from 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Thursday.

“FRIDAY FUN DAYS” are a new offering for the 2022 summer. Friday Fun Days will run every Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm.

Xplore Summer at TVS will observe three national holidays: Memorial Day on May 30, Juneteenth on June 20, and Independence Day on July 4. Xplore camps will not run on these dates.

EXTENDED CARE

Registration

Registration opened on February 28, 2022.

The online registration process includes the collection of general participant information, the completion of waivers, camp/class signup, and payment. Please complete information requests and waivers fully. Registration for each camp will close one week prior to the start date.

After you have completed online registration, an immediate email confirmation will be sent to you from the registration system. A follow-up email from the camp director will include additional information about programs, arrival/dismissal details, campus entry passes, and more. Individual instructors may be in touch with participants via email to share specific plans or information.

Fees and Payment

CANCELLATION, REFUNDS, AND TRANSFERS

Refunds on camps and classes, less a $45 cancellation fee, will be made if the cancellation request is submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to the program start date.

Trinity Valley School reserves the right to cancel any Xplore program for which there is insufficient enrollment. If the School cancels a program due to enrollment, the complete tuition will be refunded. If your schedule changes after your initial registration, you may choose to transfer an Xplore camp registration to another week during the same summer. There is no fee for transferring registrations.

Health & Safety

Your child’s safety is our top priority. Xplore Summer Programs will follow guidelines from the CDC, as well as state and local health officials, and we will act in accordance with government directives and recommendations. We work closely with our Health Services Team (nurses, athletic trainers, and the COVID-19 Coordinator) to document and update, when necessary, our campus protocols and practices for health and safety.

Summer protocols will be modeled on school-year practices to ensure the health of the Xplore community and a successful summer season. Updates to campus protocols will be posted online prior to summer camps starting and will be sent with registration confirmation emails.

TVS has a licensed medical professional on site daily to monitor the Xplore community’s health and safety. All summer staff members, instructors, coaches, and volunteers undergo health and safety training education specific to COVID-19 precautions. Additionally, staff are trained on identifying allergic reactions and proper usage of EpiPens. Any specific medical concerns or questions can be directed to the camp director.

Xplore Summer Programs follow a no-gap policy, requiring that all children be supervised while on campus. All participants must be enrolled in a supervised program while on the Trinity Valley School campus. This policy ensures safety for all Xplore participants. Xplore instructors, staff, and Student Counselors chaperone children from one activity to the next, and provide supervision during camps, classes, and lunch.

LUNCH BUNCH

All participants enrolled in full-day camps or consecutive morning and afternoon camps will automatically be enrolled in Lunch Bunch, which is a supervised lunch break held in the air-conditioned Dining Hall on campus. This service is complimentary.

Lunch service is not provided. Campers staying for lunch are asked to bring a lunch and a reusable water bottle. Be sure to label any lunch containers and water bottles with the camper’s name. While refrigeration is not available, lunches remain in an air-conditioned area prior to lunch time. We strongly encourage all campers and staff to bring nut-free lunches.

Hand-hygiene practices are encouraged throughout the camp day, including before and after eating lunch and snacks.
